On December 17, the last ordinary general assembly 2021 of this Association was held in Zacatecas, Zac. We counted with the participation of: Deputy Blanca Alcalá Ruiz, President of the Bicameral Commission of Financial Discipline of the Federal Entities and Municipalities of the House of Representatives; Hist. Francisco Vidargas Acosta, Deputy Director of World Heritage of INAH; Architect Valeria Valero Pié, National Coordinator of Historic Monuments of INAH; Valentine Delome, Chargé de Mission, Technical Cooperation of the French Embassy in Mexico; Frédéric Vacheron Oriol, Representative of UNESCO Mexico; José Francisco Román Gutiérrez, Head of the UNESCO Zacatecas Center; Arq. Arturo Balandrano Campos, General Director of Cultural Heritage Sites and Monuments of the Federal Ministry of Culture, as well as municipal presidents and representatives of Mexican World Heritage Cities.
During the development of this Assembly, emphasis was placed on the joint work with international organizations, Consulates and Embassies to generate synergies between the regions in which the Mexican World Heritage Cities are located in order to improve their sustainable development through the undoubted competitive advantage represented by their heritage wealth, generating tools to promote internationally the techniques, industry and local culture.
The Association will be chaired in 2022 by Mexico City and the Vice-Presidency will be held by the City of Querétaro.
