The National Association of Mexican Cities of World Heritage, in coordination with the tourism directorates and secretariats of the cities that make it up, in an effort to contribute to the economic reactivation of our country, has formed the “Network of tourist MSMEs of Mexican Cities World Heritage ”, which are working together to maintain and create jobs, and in this way mitigate the socio-economic impact, through the recovery of the tourism sector, guaranteeing the visitor protection and trust.
The “Program for the Reactivation of World Heritage Mexican Cities”, implemented on a digital platform that consists of: “Responsible Host Program”, through which the actions and investments that tourism service providers have carried out are disclosed in order to provide a service in accordance with the guidelines issued by the health authorities; “Tourist MSMEs benefits program”, in which benefits and / or discounts are offered and “Loyalty program”, in which the visitor or tourist is recognized for the number of World Heritage Mexican Cities visited.
For the presentation of this Program, we had the pleasure of having the participation of the Secretary of Tourism of the Federal Government, Miguel Torruco Marqués; Frédéric Vacheron, Representative of UNESCO Mexico; Claire Charbit, Head of the OECD’s Unit for Territorial Dialogues and Migration, as well as the Presidents and Municipal President of the Mexican World Heritage cities; Technical Secretaries; heads of tourism areas and representatives of chambers and associations of tourism service providers.
