It is one of the ancient Mayan cities that stand up today. It is known as Casa de los Itzaes and in its architecture you can see technological advances. It was a religious, administrative and housing center of great importance.
It is located 55 km southeast of the city of Campeche. It can be reached by Federal Roads 180 and 261; from Champotón via Haltunchén and Hool, and continue towards the east; or from Campeche through Chiná, Pocyaxum, Nohacal and Tixmucuy. If traveling from the south of Yucatan, it will be necessary to deviate in the town of Cayal. The visitor can arrive at the site through public transport from Campeche, however, this must walk about 300 meters to the entrance of the site.
